Overview

A Python notebook service is used with Tecton to fetch feature data and interact with the feature pipelines that are running in production. Most commonly, notebook servers are. Tecton will also use the underlying compute of the notebook service it is connected to for ongoing feature computation.

Tecton can be configured with default access to a notebook service like EMR or Databricks, but in cases where you have a pre-existing notebook service, you'll need to configure access.

Tecton supports connecting to the following notebook services:
