Versioning Scheme
Tecton will release a new stable release about every quarter. Each release will have a published support period for which it will be maintained. The purpose of this release process is to give customers a reliable SDK and a timeline for deprecation. We recommend all production environments to be pinned to a stable version of Tecton.
For any updates or bug fixes that are needed for supported releases, we will release changes to them as a patch release. Because these patches contain minor fixes, you can safely update the patch version for your production applications without significant testing. We encourage customers to be on the latest patch for these stable versions to ensure you have the latest bug fixes and security updates
Out-of-support versions may break at any time. Tecton will notify users when their current version is approaching the end of its support period.
All new functionality in the Tecton SDK will be released first as a Beta version. Beta versions are intended to allow customers to preview Tecton's new features. We do not promise any stability between Beta versions and they are not recommended for production systems.
Beta Releases
The latest Tecton functionality is always released as Beta on a roughly daily cadence. Any new functionality in Beta will be listed below and can also be found in What's New. All beta versions are listed here.
